Central Catholic, Crawfordsville top baseball polls

For the second straight season, sectional rivals Central Catholic
and Frontier were ranked 1-2 in the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches
Association preseason Class A poll.
In 3A, defending champion Crawfordsville is No. 1 and West Lafayette is No. 4. A total of seven area teams received votes in one of the polls. The Athenians received four of the seven first-place votes.
Central Catholic is the three-time defending Class A state champion, and the Knights defeated the Falcons in the sectional final in each of the past two seasons. CC received five first-place votes, while Frontier received one.
Frontier's Midwest Conference rival Tri-County is ranked No. 7 in Class A, and Clinton Prairie also received votes. Seeger received votes in Class 2A.
