Season Underway, Sort Of!
It was only a scrimmage game against Brebuef out of Indy. A couple of scrimmage rules applied, each team would bat 10 players, after 3 outs, the bases were cleared if any base runners were on.
Nick went 1-3 at the plate with 1 walk. He flat out beat out a hard grounder directly to the short stop that didn't bobble the ball. He just flat out beat it out, so much for the question of the off season knee operation. He struck out his first time at the plate & had a deep line drive to the right fielder. Nick started in RF and had a fly ball put out that also resulted in a double play. Runner on 3rd attempted to score on a fly ball, he hit his mark on the relay and the runner was tossed out by the pitcher at home.
With tendinitis in the elbow right now, Nick pitched to 2 batters in the 2nd inning. Final score.....no idea!!! LOL
First real game is Monday against North Montgomery at home!
